Gathering Ground cafe
We asked our staff and our community to share their favourite cycle-friendly cafés around Glasgow.

Good Coffee Cartel
12 Cornwall St, Glasgow G41 1AQ
A coffee shop that’s right up our street as they care about sustainability and fair payment for coffee bean farmers. They pioneered reusable packaging in Scotland with their wholesale and retail customers too.
They roast their own coffee, the baristas are amazing (I think some of them compete), it’s not unfairly priced like some cafés in the West/South and it’s also on my commute to work so I can time my caffeine hit strategically before coming into work.

Beefcake Cafe
808 Crow Rd, Anniesland, Glasgow G13 1LY
This award-winning cafe is sure to satisfy any hungry cyclist. You only need to take a look at their Facebook page to start feeling peckish! You can pre-order your food too so there’s no risk of showing up and being disappointed.
It’s easy to get to by the canal cycle path 754 , turn left at the Lock 27 pub, roll down the quiet bit of Crow road, past the Anniesland library. It’s worth a short detour for the award winning pastries. They sell fast so go early or reserve some. I go there once a week to buy a loaf of bread, they bake everything themselves and it’s the best I’ve had anywhere. They have tables outside and handy public bike racks.

A social enterprise cafe that uses food as a way to have a positive impact on the community. They’re big on organic produce (they even grow some themselves) and sustainability.
This is a great wee community interest café based right on the canal, making it ideal as a pre- or post-ride fuel stop. The coffee and cakes are excellent, the place is chill and friendly, and they frequently run wee events.

Oatlands Caffeine
34 Elmfoot Grove, Glasgow G5 0LR
Great community cafe with a strong game when it comes to breakfast, brunch and lunches. Reviews mention friendly staff and fast service.

Greenhouse Café
52 Townhead, Kirkintilloch
Just off the Union Canal, this social enterprise cafe serves comforting staples including lasagna, mac and cheese and sticky toffee pudding. Their traybakes are a steal too at £1.55 to take away or £2.20 to sit in.
Bernie’s Cafe Deli
1 Main St, Bridge of Weir PA11 3PN
Ideal for a pit stop if you’re on the National Cycle Route 75, this relaxed and friendly cafe has a great breakfast and brunch menu as well as tasty cakes and ice cream. Outside seating is handy if you want to stay near your bike.
