You’ll learn from our experienced instructor who will guide you through a mix of demonstrations and practical exercises. The course will have a maximum of six attendees.

You will be taught in a relaxed environment where all the tools and cycles to practise on are provided.

2-day course, £299

Cytech Technical 1

An accredited qualification to train as a professional bicycle technician.

Learn essential skills to work in a bike workshop
Improve your employability by gaining advanced industry desirable skills.

The course includes:

  • Health & Safety
  • Workshop practices
  • Conforming to British Standards
  • Pre-delivery inspection
  • Adjustment, set-up & frame alignment
  • Torque wrench settings
  • Lubricants & greases
  • Tyres & tubes
  • Consumer Protection Act

The course is split in two parts:

Theory (online £150)
Practical (in-person £450)

Cytech Technical 2

You’ll learn all the skills and knowledge you need to be a professional bike mechanic.

This course will focus on assembly, set-up and ongoing servicing and maintenance.

Over 8 days, the intensive training will cover:

  • Health & Safety in the workshop
  • Headsets, gears, rim brakes, hubs & bearings
  • Introduction to disc brakes and hydraulic bleeding
  • Internal hub gears
  • Wheel truing & spoke replacement
  • Wheel building

10 days, full training and assessment – £1500 (you must already hold Cytech Technical 1)

1 day, assessment only – £350
