28 May 2026
We’re delighted to announce that Bike for Good will be delivering a series of free cycling activities across the city as part of the Glasgow 2026 Festival programme alongside the Commonwealth Games.
Running from May to August, the programme will bring led rides, cycling opportunities and free Dr. Bike sessions to communities throughout Glasgow, helping more people enjoy the city by bike.
Whether you’re completely new to cycling, looking to build confidence, or simply want to explore more of Glasgow on two wheels, there will be plenty of opportunities to get involved over the summer.
Glasgow & Beyond Cycling Tours
As part of the programme, we’ll be hosting Glasgow & Beyond — a series of guided cycling tours showcasing some of Glasgow’s most iconic sights, history and green spaces.
Led by qualified ride leaders with first aid training, the rides will explore everything from Glasgow’s architecture and canals to shipbuilding heritage, the Seven Lochs area and Loch Lomond.
No bike or helmet? No problem — we can provide both free of charge. Participants simply need to be able to cycle confidently on roads and shared-use paths.
Tours include:
- Glasgow Architectural Tour
- Glasgow’s Canals & Locks Tour
- Glasgow Green Spaces Tour
- Historical Ship Building Tour
